Border Collie - Snoopy - Medium - Senior - Male - Dog
January xxxx- Snoopy arrived at Friends for Life on May 1st, xxxx. He is 8 to 10 years old, depending on who you talk to, but his former owner, who had to relinquish Snoopy because he was moving, says that he's now 10. Snoopy is in the house with us- and he is housebroken and doesn't even try to get on the furniture or counters, even if there's something tempting sitting right on the edge of the counter! He's a great dog! His only requirement is that somebody throw his ball for him-- he loves to fetch and bring it back and drop it, step back and wait for you to throw it again- that Border Collie focus! He's lived with multiple dogs all of his life and shares his living space now with nine other dogs, large and small and all seniors also. He's also been around cats with no problem. Snoopy is TERRIFIED of thunder and loud noises (like a gunshot). He is ok if somebody is with him but if not, he'll destroy doors, etc. and injure himself in his effort to find a human for comfort. His ideal home is where somebody is there all the time, esp. when the weather even looks like it might get bad. He had a short petit mal seizure in October but has had nothing since.
